Carol Smith, 85, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at Ascension Via Christi Village on July 23, 2024. She was born on March 12, 1939, in Pittsburg, KS, to Virgil and Vona Fisher. Carol was married to Melvin Smith Sr., who preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children: Melvin Smith Jr. of Pittsburg, KS; Duane Smith and his wife, Mary of Belle Plaine, KS; and Jeanne Smith of Pittsburg, KS. Carol also leaves behind six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister. A graveside service will be held at Crocker Cemetery south of Pittsburg, KS on Monday July 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
