Floydie Mesha Oliver

Floydie Mesha Oliver, lovingly known as “Sha,” 65, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 8, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Born on June 16, 1961, in Crawfordsville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Floyd and Barbara Logan. Her childhood years were spent in Hutchinson, Kansas, with her parents, Floyd and Barbara Logan, and her siblings. Later, after the passing of her mother, Floyd met RuthAnn “Sweetie” Swanson, who lovingly raised Sha and her siblings, along with two additional children born to the relationship. Sha later made her home in Pittsburg, Kansas, where her door was always open to anyone looking for a great conversation.

Sha shared a 40-year union with her beloved husband, Willie “Bo” Oliver. She treasured her family, especially her two sons, grandchildren, beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In 2017, Sha began her spiritual journey with the United Israelites in Christ (IUIC). She often said that fulfilling her role in her faith was the greatest honor of her life and frequently spoke of her hope to hear her Creator say, “Well done, daughter, welcome home”

Sha leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Willie “Bo” Oliver; sons, Tyshawn L. Logan Sr. and Kamon Logan (Mallory Hull); 14 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; siblings, Sharlotte, Floyd III, Richard, Regina, Anthony, Shirlinda, Lee and Obery; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Halley Carapezza, Lorie Norris, and Brenda Trass.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Barbara Logan, and step-mother RuthAnn “Sweetie” Swanson-Logan; brothers, Curtis, David, and Daniel; sisters, Sherrie and Audrey, and several nieces and nephews.

Sha will be remembered for her love of family, community, and faith.

Well done, Sha, well done.
