PITTSBURG, Kan. — Anyone driving around Pittsburg recently has seen the signs for City Commissioner D.J. Perry running for the state legislature. Perry, who still has one year left in his term as city commissioner, is the Republican heir-apparent to incumbent Chuck Smith, who is stepping down at the end of the current term.
