CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. — Three vehicles collided at approximately 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, in Cherokee County.

A 2006 Ford F250, driven by Zachary Scott Overman, 44, of Oswego, was traveling westbound on U400. Overman activated his left turn signal and began slowing down to turn onto 30th while waiting for a 2017 Dodge Ram driven by James David Willimas, 47, of Chanute, who was traveling eastbound on U400.

A 2017 Kia Forte driven by Kayladon Renee Richardson, 39, of Colombus, was traveling westbound behind Overman and failed to slow down. Richardson’s Kia rear-ended Overman’s Ford and lost steering, striking Williams’ Dodge.

Richardson was transported to Labette Health for a suspected minor injury. Overman and Williams suffered no apparent injuries.
