It’s not surprising that when Dan Smith talks about leadership, he uses a lot of baseball analogies. Smith, CEO of Watco, was a major league baseball pitcher from 1999 until 2003, playing for the Texas Rangers, the Montreal Expos and the Boston Red Sox before a career-ending injury.
