SEKLS hosts summer programming workshop

Posted

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Participants in the “Summer Library Programming for Adults” workshop, which was sponsored by the Southeast Kansas Library System (SEKLS) and hosted via Zoom on Feb. 7, included Carol Ann Robb of Pittsburg Public Library.

Lauren Dainty, director at Columbus Public Library, was the featured speaker and presented programming and decorating ideas for summer library programming in public libraries in Kansas.

Summer library programs are offered through public libraries to help prevent the loss of reading skills gained during the previous school year, promote and provide library services to community members, and promote the love of reading, according to a SEKLS press release.

Those interested in participating in summer library programs can check the Pittsburg Public Library’s Facebook page or website for more information to be posted as it gets closer to summer.
