Shawn Pryer, of Sarcoxie, Mo., first exhibited chickens at the Crawford County Fair when he was 5. On Thursday, before judging the chickens and rabbits at this year’s fair, he talked to young exhibitors about things to look for in prize-winning birds and coached them on showmanship.
