Donna Jean Cox 78, of Arma, KS died April 28, 2023 at her home following an illness. Donna was born April 16, 1945 in Bellingham, WA, the daughter of Arlo Andrew and Inez Tussing Shields. Donna attended area schools in Anchorage, AK.

Donna married Joel Parkerson. He served in the United States Armed Forces. Donna worked as a homemaker. Donna was of the Christian Faith; she loved to watch Television, especially old western movies; Christian music; 90's country; and was known to be a homebody.

Survivors include her children Rick Provence of Puerto Rico, Valerie Ann Barnhart of Nevada, MO, Mary Ellen Hendrix of Asbury, MO, David Andrew Baughn of Chattanooga, TN; siblings Lorraine Clark of California and Steven Shields of Washington; special grand-daughter Krista Baughn and her fiancée Scott Barrager.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday May 8, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS, with Pastor Duane Elmore officiating. Burial will follow at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery in Ft. Scott, KS. Informal visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm Sunday May 7, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS.
