Leah Gagnon, director of patient engagement at Wesley House, says the Gathering Place has weathered the first winter storm of the season. Opened on Wednesday, the new shelter has provided a place for homeless citizens to sleep during the recent cold snap. Hosting 10 people on the first night, and 15 on Thursday night, Gagnon said she has been lucky not to have to turn anyone away.
