Lisa J. Richey, 62, of Kalamazoo, MI, formerly of Pittsburg, KS, died February 6, 2023 at her home following a short illness.
Lisa was born January 30, 1961 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of Marvin and Donna (Wilson) Smith. She lived in Pittsburg most of her life before moving to Michigan in 2002.
Lisa worked for Stryker Inc. in Kalamazoo as a Medical Equipment Nonconformance Specialist for over 16 years. She was very devoted to her work and earned multiple awards during her career, including "Quality Technician of the Year" in 2015. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, trying new recipes, and spending time with her beloved cat Woody. She was known to be extremely proud of her family and, in particular, her son Jeremy and grandson Parker for their military service. Jeremy is a veteran of the United States Army, and Parker is currently a cadet at the United State Military Academy at West Point.
Lisa is survived by her son Jeremy Wilson and wife, Mandy of Manhattan, KS; mother, Donna Wilson of Pittsburg, KS; sister, Shana Plasters and husband, Ross of Burlington, NC; a grandson, Parker Wilson; and a niece and nephew, Rachael Plasters and Ryan Plasters.
Lisa was preceded in death by her former husband, Dave Richey and Scott Wilson, as well as her father.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS, with Pastor Duane Elmore officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the American Cancer Society and/or Make a Wish Foundation.
