Kenneth Bloom set to retire at GNBank

Bryce Anderson taking reigns as Community Bank President for Pittsburg, Arma and Galena

PITTSBURG, Kan. — GNBank recently announced the retirement of Community Bank President Kenneth Bloom from the Pittsburg, Arma, and Galena locations.

Bloom has served the banking industry for over 40 years, with over 25 years in various roles in the Pittsburg area. He has been GNBank Community Bank President for Pittsburg, Arma, and Galena since 2017. 

Bloom is a Board Member of the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce and has previously served the Pittsburg community as Board Member for the Pittsburg Library and the Pittsburg Family YMCA. Bloom is excited to be able to spend more time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bryce Anderson has been appointed by GNBank as the new Community Bank President for the Pittsburg, Arma, and Galena locations. Anderson will oversee all levels of operations at all three locations. 

Anderson has been in the banking industry since 2004, starting in the greater Kansas City area before taking a position as Commercial Loan Officer with GNBank at the Pittsburg location in 2018. Anderson participated in the 2019 Leadership Crawford County Program, is a member of the Pittsburg Noon Rotary Club, serves on the Pittsburg Land Bank Board of Trustees, and is a facilitator for the Crawford County Youth Leadership Program with 6th graders in both the Arma and Pittsburg Middle Schools.

Anderson graduated from Fort Scott High School and later graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in finance. He is currently attending the Colorado Graduate School of Banking. 

Anderson resides in Frontenac with his wife Lori and their children, Brady and Brendan.

GNBank also recently announced that April Wilkes will join the Pittsburg location, where she will continue serving as a vice president. Wilkes has 27 years of regional banking experience dating back to May 1996, following her graduation from Yates Center (KS) High School. 

She has served in various roles at GNBank in Girard for the past 14 years, most recently as vice president, residential real estate lender, and commercial lender. Wilkes previously served as a branch manager in the Pittsburg market from 2005-2009, and she served as a credit analyst and a commercial lender in Joplin, Missouri from 2000-2004. She began her banking career with GNBank as a teller from 1996-2000. 

Wilkes graduated from Pittsburg State University in May 2000 with a double major in finance and economics. She resides in Pittsburg with her husband Dan and children Blake and Bailey, who attend St. Mary’s-Colgan.
