Deborah Jo Ann Marlier, 79, was born Dec. 16, 1944, in Pittsburg, Kansas to Robert Earl Hudson and Lucinda Jane (Sells) Hudson. Deborah passed away on Sept. 14, 2024, at Westgate of Wildwood Ranch Nursing Home, Joplin, Missouri.

Deborah was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved people. Not only did Deborah fulfill her roles as a loving wife and a caring mother but she dedicated her life to the full time Bible Education Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than 50 years alongside her husband Jeff Marlier. She was involved in the International and Branch Construction Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She also volunteered in building Kingdom Halls in several different States.

Deborah was survived by her husband of 49 years William “Jeff” Marlier, of Carl Junction, Missouri. Her three daughters: Camille Saturley of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Sonja Edgerly of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Regina Shaw (husband Dusty) of Joplin, Missouri, her seven grandchildren: Steven Saturley (partner Angela Knape), Andrew Saturley, Lauren Saturley, Olivia Hall (husband Micheal), Jocelyn Walder (husband Keegan), Nate Edgerly (wife Emily) and Dillon Shaw (wife Jocelyn), along with ten great grandchildren.

She has three surviving siblings: David Hudson (wife Sandra) of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Barbara Thurmond of Clarkston, Michigan and Mark Hudson (wife Julia) of Pittsburg, Kansas, as well as more nieces, nephews and cousins that can be recounted.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucinda (Cindy) Hudson, her first husband Virgil Knoble; two brothers James and Matthew Hudson and two sisters Roberta Gillette and Rebecca Hudson.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4005 Parkview Drive, Pittsburg, Kansas.
