Many Christians celebrate Jesus Christ as King Nov. 20. In his Dec. 11, 1925 encyclical Pope Pius XI denounced the modern heresy of laicism which refuses to recognize the rights of God and Christ over persons and nations, and instead seeks to organize the lives of individuals, families and society itself as though God didn’t exist.
