Thomas Eugene Pyle, 77, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Girard, Kansas, to Don and Marie Pyle and brothers Mike Pyle (married to Janelle) and Steve Pyle (married to Sarajo). Tom exemplified a life of dedication, hard work, and resilience.
He is survived by his fearless wife, Biddy Jean Pyle, and their three children: Sarah Spero, Telli Chave, and Jacque Joyce, including his son in laws Tyson and James. His legacy continues through his seven cherished grandchildren — Hayden, Max, Grace, Seth, Nathan, Callen, and Piper — who brought him immeasurable joy.
Tom was a devoted family man whose unwavering support and dependability provided a strong foundation for those he loved. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, he dedicated his career to finance, retiring at 51 to focus on what truly mattered: his family and community.
Five years ago, Tom faced a tragic accident that changed his life forever. However, rather than succumbing to despair, he became a beacon of tenacity, teaching all who knew him the true meaning of resilience. He inspired not only his family but also the therapists and caregivers who supported him during this challenging time.
Tom will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His unwavering determination and loving spirit will live on in our hearts. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church 3003 Northland Drive Austin, TX 78757. All are welcome to share memories and honor a man who never gave up.
