PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Salvation Army is gearing up for its annual school supply drive, Stuff the Bus. A Pittsburg Community School District bus will be at both Pittsburg Walmart locations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.
Thanks to community partnerships with Walmart, USD 250, the Salvation Army, Pittsburg Area Young Professionals and Pittsburg Rotary clubs, volunteers will collect school supplies donated by Walmart customers for Pittsburg students.
All supply list items are welcome, however, priority items include backpacks for all ages, spiral notebooks, pens and pencils, crayons (regular and jumbo) and pencil boxes. Donations can also be dropped off at the Pittsburg Salvation Army, located at 307 E 5th St, Pittsburg.
