Lisa Ann (Armstrong) Mooney, 60 of Pittsburg, KS died October 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and friends following a long battle with cancer.
She was born on December 17, 1962, in Pittsburg KS, the daughter of Jack Lee and Doris (Curry) Armstrong.
On December 31, 1982, she was united in marriage to Bruce Mooney, he survives her of the home.
Lisa worked for the U.S.D 250 school district as a paraprofessional and later at Class LTD providing care to individuals with disabilities.
She was a member of the College Heights Christian Church in Pittsburg.
Survivors include her husband Bruce Mooney, sister Karla Armstrong of Pittsburg, aunts and uncles Jim and Judy Armstrong of Walla Walla, WA, and Virginia Armstrong of Bella Vista, AR; two grandsons: Jaxon and Dawsyn Mooney of Frontenac; a daughter-in-law and her husband Melissa and Ronny DeNayer of Frontenac; her best friends, Lisa and husband Dwayne Nutt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lisa spent her final days surrounded by her closest friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Doris, her only child Casey Wayne Mooney, and her beloved poodle Duncan.
The family would like to thank Harry Hynes Hospice, Melissa DeNayer, Lisa Nutt, and Daisy Mooney for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Lisa.
