Linda Eileen (Grosshans) Sourbeer

Linda Eileen (Grosshans) Sourbeer, Age 81, of Pittsburg, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the West Ridge Assisted Living Center.

She was born on February 16, 1942 in Parsons, KS, to Melvin W. "Pete" and Eileen (Gregg) Grosshans. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1960 and Parsons Jr. College in 1962.

She was married on February 16, 1974 in Little Rock, AR, to Phil Sourbeer at St. Teresa's Catholic "Church of The Little Flower." Linda and Phil had been high school sweethearts and were reconnected at his fifteenth Parsons High School reunion. Linda had been previously married to Luciano Capozzoli, Rawlins, WY.

Linda had worked for both the Mountain Bell and Pacific Bell Telephone Companies; The Kansas Masonic Home Activities Director, Wichita, KS; and New Concepts In Marketing Demo Services, Wichita, KS.

She is survived by her husband, Phil; three children: Dante Capozzoli and wife Belinda of Las Vegas, NV, Fawn and husband Jeff Cox of Pittsburg, KS, and Charles "Chuck" Sourbeer and wife Stacey of Suwanee, GA; six grandchildren: Jacob Prickett of Derby, KS, Blake Lallemand of Pittsburg, KS, Brayden Sourbeer, and Kain Sourbeer of Olathe, KS, McKayla Capozzoli of Cheyenne, WY, and McKenzie Capozzoli of Las Vegas, NV; great-granddaughter Serena Capozzoli, and great-grandson Luciano Thomas of Cheyenne, WY; great-grandson Oliver Thomas Lallemand and great-grandson Greyson Michael Lallemand of Pittsburg, KS; one sister Marguerite Ann Pickens of Dallas, TX; and a very special family friend, Tom Lallemand, Pittsburg, KS.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother Gregg Grosshans.

Affectionately known to close friends as "Lulu," her outgoing personality and infectious laugh brought joy to all that she encountered. A truly beautiful woman, wife, and mother. Sadly, Linda suffered from dementia for the past few years, although she was active and aware of her disability on a daily basis. Such a Sweetheart!

May Linda finally rest in true peace, in the arms of our Lord forever.
