The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) held a public hearing, in person and by Zoom, at the Girard Public Library on Thursday. Representatives of the commission and from NextEra Energy Southwest (NEET) were present to answer questions the public had about the route of a proposed power line that will span 83 miles across five southeast Kansas counties.
