Crawford County GOP endorses Schmidt for governor

Posted

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Crawford County Republican Party Central Committee has announced it is endorsing Derek Schmidt in his run for governor of Kansas.

"Laura Kelly has failed our state time and again,” the Crawford County GOP said in a press release. “She has no meaningful accomplishments to show for her term as governor and has a record of destroying jobs, closing small businesses, restricting liberty, and losing taxpayer dollars. She’s vetoed bills to preserve fairness in women’s sports, protect the role of parents in education, and numerous bills to cut taxes. She puts the left wing of the Democrat Party first, always.”

Schmidt, who is currently Kansas attorney general, “is a proven leader who always puts the needs of Kansans first. He will work to advance a commonsense conservative agenda, not block it. He will have our backs when Joe Biden tramples on our liberty. Instead of growing government, he’ll get it out of our way so our businesses and farms can grow and prosper,” the endorsement went on to say.

“For these reasons, Attorney General Schmidt will make a great Governor. He has our full support and we encourage all voters to join us in electing him this November.”
