Baxter Springs man sentenced to prison for meth distribution

COLUMBUS, Kan. — Charles Tunnell III, 33, of Baxter Springs was sentenced to 55 months imprisonment last week in Cherokee County District Court after recently pleading guilty to Distributing Methamphetamine in Cherokee County in December 2022.

Tunnell is being held in the Cherokee County Jail pending transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections and was prosecuted by the Cherokee County Attorney's Office.
