U.S. 400 at Cherokee to close for railroad crossing repairs

CHEROKEE, Kan. —The South Kansas & Oklahoma (SKOL) Railroad plans to close and repair the crossing on U.S. 400 at Cherokee on Wednesday, Sept. 13 and Thursday, Sept. 14. The crossing will be closed to traffic between the hours of 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday.

Eastbound U.S. 400 traffic will detour south on K-7 to K-103, east on K-103 to U.S. 69, and north on U.S. 69 to the U.S. 400/K-171/U.S. 160 junction. Westbound traffic will take the same detour in the opposite direction. Updates are available at www.kandrive.gov.
