EARLTON, Kan. — Two people were injured, though neither one seriously, in a head-on collision on US-169 highway just south of Earlton in Neosho County early Thursday morning, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

35-year-old Tisha Waller of Thayer was driving northbound in a 2013 Chevy Malibu around 5:25 a.m. when she went left of center and hit 43-year-old Jeffery Barriger of Chanute’s vehicle, a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, head-on, according to the KHP.

Barriger was apparently uninjured in the crash but Waller was taken to Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Waller also had two minor passengers in her vehicle, one of whom suffered minor injuries, according to the KHP. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
