Two injured in collision in Arma

ARMA, Kan. — Two people were injured in a wreck around 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30 at the intersection of US-69 and South Street in Arma. 

According a report by the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado driven by David J. Marrone, 66, of Frontenac, was traveling eastbound on W South Street while a 1991 Dodge Dynasty driven by Emmah M. Dikeman, 25, of Fort Scott, was traveling southbound on US-69. The Silverado driven by Marrone failed to yield to the right of way and was struck by Dikeman’s Dodge Dynasty.

Marrone and Dikeman were both transported to Ascension Via Christi for suspected minor injuries. They were both wearing seat belts.

A passenger in Marrone’s Silverado, Ruth L. Fleeman, 70, of Garland, Kansas, was uninjured in the collision.

Marrone’s Silverado was removed by Barrett's Body Frame & Towing. Dikeman’s Dodge Dynasty was removed by A-1 Towing.
