Conrad was born and raised in Pittsburg, received all his sacraments at Our Lady of Lourdes, and has a deep generational family history as both parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes and graduates of St. Mary's Colgan, SMC said in a news release.

Both of Conrad’s parents are graduates of St. Mary’s High School. His wife Robin (Titus) is a class of 1983 Frontenac graduate. They have four children and six grandchildren.

Conrad received his bachelor of science in education and master of science in school leadership from Pittsburg State University as well as his district level superintendent licensure from Emporia State University. He began his teaching career at Bishop Ward High School in 1986 before transferring into the public sector in 1989.

His education journey has spanned 38 years with eight of the years spent as a teacher/coach, two years as an assistant principal, 13 years as a building principal, and 15 years as a school district superintendent. Conrad is currently in his fourth year as principal at St. Patrick Catholic School in Kansas City, Kansas with an enrollment of 335 located in western Wyandotte County. During his tenure, the school was awarded the Archdiocese School of Excellence and School of Excellence Runner Up.

"My family and I are excited and blessed to return home! St. Mary's Colgan has always played an instrumental role throughout my career,” Conrad said in the release. “I am grateful, for the opportunity to be a part of the school and parish community once again! I am also eager to begin the transition and to meet all of the wonderful staff and students who make St. Mary's Colgan special."
