Melissa Dawn Foote, 38, of Pittsburg, passed away on Aug. 13, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Melissa was born on Feb. 21, 1984, to Tobias and Beverly Lamar (Willingham) Allbritton in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Christopher Foote on Aug. 31 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee.

To know Melissa was to know acceptance immediately. She loved walking her dog, KiKi, and stopping to say "Hello" to everyone. KiKi was Melissa's best friend, and they were always together! She was always a listening ear to those around her. Missy enjoyed joining her husband on the road in the Big Rig. She was always excited to go on adventures with Chris.

Missy was a housewife that loved spending her time doing arts and crafts! She was a great painter and had finished up a Big Rig painting for baby Gary that she was so proud of! Her front room is full of supplies to make whatever her heart desired. She was always quick to help those around her, be it listening to troubles, hosting doggy sleepovers, or babysitting her friend's kids so they could work. She had a deep love of animals. Her home consisted of a dog, cat, bird, and snake. She loved hosting Thanksgiving for her friends in the trailer park. They were family to her. She was 34 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, due Sept. 24th, Gary Michael Foote. He preceded her in death by a day. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a grandfather, Johnny Allbritton.

Survivors include her husband, Christopher Foote, of Pittsburg, and their dog that was her child, KiKi; grandmother, Glynda Allbritton; four children; six siblings; her mother-in-law, Kristie Foote; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and the friends that became family in her mobile home community.

Melissa will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeside Park on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at noon. Memorial donations can be made to help with final expenses. These may be taken online or mailed to Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
