Marjorie L. Powers, 96, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on March 18, 2023, at her residence.
Marjorie was born on December 5, 1926 to Ray and Nora (Johnson) Tucker in Fredonia, KS. She married Clayton E. Powers on April 12, 1953, at the First Christian Church in Lyons, KS. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2018.
Marjorie was a homemaker.
Membership was held in the First Christian Church of Pittsburg. She was an Honorary Founder of the Elks National Foundation BPOE.
She is survived by three sons, Mark Alan Powers (Virginia) of Carthage, MO, Steven Wayne Powers (Allison) of Chattanooga, TN, and Nathan Lee Powers of Pittsburg, KS.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Brenner Mortuary with Rev. Jim Sukraw officiating. The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice. Memorials may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS. Burial will take place at a later date in the Vesper Cemetery in Vesper, KS.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary.
