Jacque Lynn Aikman, 73, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
She was born Sept. 24, 1949, in Pittsburg, the daughter of William and Fern (Smith) Aikman.
Jacque graduated from Pittsburg High School and furthered her education, receiving her bachelor's degree at Pittsburg State University.
Jacque was employed by the State of Kansas, working in Human Resources for several agencies throughout her career prior to her retirement.
Ms. Aikman was a member of the Emerald City Cosmopolitan Club of Topeka.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Gartin of Topeka; daughter, Jennifer Aikman of Topeka; granddaughter, Kelsey Graham; great-grandson, Jace Cunningham; and brother, Bill (Menzie) Aikman of Spicewood, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jacque was an avid animal lover, and her dogs brought her great joy.
Honoring Jacque's request, cremation is planned. No services have been scheduled at this time.
The Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel of Topeka, Kansas, is assisting the family.
