Heritage Tractor to expand service shop

Posted

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Heritage Tractor, a local John Deere dealership in Pittsburg, will be breaking ground on a new service facility at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5. The addition will include heat and A/C, a wash bay and 38,500 square foot of additional service space.

Multiple cranes and a taller overall building will better fit larger agricultural equipment. Heritage will also add more technicians to get customers’ equipment serviced as quickly as possible.

The service shop is in addition to an already completed new covered storage building at the back lot to keep customer equipment out of the elements while waiting for service.

HASTCO Construction will be managing the project. The company has completed multiple other additions and new construction projects for Heritage Tractor, including their Adrian, Missouri and Lawrence, Kansas locations.

The original facility was built in 1964 and has undergone multiple expansion and renovations projects over the years to help accommodate the growing customer base and the larger equipment, with additions being built in 1974, 1978, 1980, 2005 and 2012.

Heritage Tractor is a full-service John Deere dealership that provides agricultural and outdoor equipment as well as OEM parts and certified service. The dealership began with just one location in Baldwin City, Kansas in 1998. Today, Heritage Tractor employs more than 570 employees across 21 locations in Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.
