Gabriel Christian (Gabe) Murdock passed from this life on February 8, 2024 at his apartment in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Gabe was born on April 27, 1998 in Joplin, Missouri. He was a 2016 graduate of Joplin High School.
A kind, sensitive, and loving soul, Gabe fought a lifelong battle with spina bifida.
Nevertheless, he was able to excel scholastically, as well as to become an accomplished guitarist and drummer. He had worked in the restaurant industry all his adult life.
He is survived by his mother, Lyn MacLaughlin Murdock of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and his father, Christian Murdock of Pittsburg, Kansas. Additional survivors include his maternal grandparents, Dr. James and Diane MacLaughlin of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and his godfather, Rick Webb of Pittsburg, Kansas.
Per his wishes, Gabe's remains have been taken for cremation. A memorial service will be held at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary on Friday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Golden Paw Pet Rescue or Todd Rundgren's Spirit of Harmony Foundation.
