Road crews making progress on East Quincy Street

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Starting Saturday, Sept. 9, East Quincy Street between South Rouse Street and the Pittsburg Nazarene Church will be opened to all traffic.

Starting Monday, Sept. 11, East Quincy Street between Joplin Street and Pittsburg Nazarene Church will be closed to all through traffic, while crews will begin earthwork and grading activities in the construction zone. All construction activities will proceed based on weather conditions. During construction, this section of East Quincy will be closed to all through traffic, while residents will continue to have access to their homes. 

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible, to slow down and use extreme caution when traveling in the area of construction, and be aware of workers in the work zone.
