Mike Bodensteiner of Greenbush appeared before the Crawford County Commission on Friday to discuss funding of small childcare centers. Although several larger childcare providers in the county have already received federal funding, according to Bodensteiner, $150,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act was also set aside by the county to fund childcare centers with fewer than 99 children. Each smaller center is eligible for a one-time payment of $2,000.
