Bill Brokob

Bill Brokob, 75, of Girard, passed away at 11:51 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2023 at his home in Girard, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born July 1, 1948 in Nevada, Missouri, a son of Albert and Pearl (Rose) Brokob.

He attended school in Joplin, Missouri and later received his GED.

On December 16, 2004 Bill was united in marriage to Tamara King in Eureka, Springs, Arkansas, she survives of the home.

He was a self-employed licensed roofing contractor.

He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, farm animals, and Daylight Donuts. Bill was well known for his giving heart as he reached out to many people in need. Although, Bill had a sweet tooth, and he repeatedly reached out with a box of Daylight Donuts as he ministered to their needs. Bill also supplied an opportunity through his roofing business to those needing to start a new life.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by four sons: Matt Brokob and his wife Tanya of Girard, Al Brokob and his wife Lisa of Girard, Billie Joe Brokob Jr. and his wife Robin of Chapin, South Carolina, Colten Harris and his wife Chelsi of Marshfield, Missouri; three daughters, Melanie Wells and her husband Ronnie of Girard, Tricia Wu and her husband Li of Joplin, Missouri, and Traci Lacey of Joplin, Missouri; 19 grandchildren, Shelly Wells, Lara Wells, Jocelyn Brokob, Ethan Brokob, Wyatt Brokob, Blake Brokob, Carley Brokob, Abi Brokob, Hagen Brokob, Jenifer Jumper, Lukeus Brokob, Narissa Brokob, Lia Wu, Olivia Wu, Ella Wu, Daniel Lacey, Braxten Harris, Brynleigh Harris, Brecken Harris; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Carl Brokob, Gus Brokob, and Joe Brokob; and 5 sisters, Mary Fisher Pearl Brokob, Betty Crandall, Dorothy Burns, and Emma Hartman.

Graveside services for Bill Brokob will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Girard Cemetery with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home Tuesday, July 18th. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m., Tuesday
