Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Pittsburg Fire Department was called to the area of 611 E. 21st St. In response to report of a vehicle that had caught fire. According to Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Vacca, the driver said the vehicle was having engine problems while driving, and then saw flames coming out from under the wheel well. The driver stopped in the road and all occupants got out of the vehicle. The firefighters who first arrived reported flames coming from the engine compartment. The cause of the fire is unknown, and no injuries were reported.
