Scott (Scotty) Ray Farrell passed away on Dec. 19, 2022.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1957, in Frontenac, Kansas, to Ray and Dia Farrell. He attended schools in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
On July 10, 1982, he married Mari Newman, and on Oct. 10, 1984, his son, Jacob, was born.
Over the years, Scotty has owned and operated several tattoo studios —Main Street Tattoo in Joplin, Mohave Tattoo in Bullhead City, Arizona, and Lone Starr Tattoo in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Scotty was known to take in stray animals and provide them with a loving home. He enjoyed telling stories with his friends, riding his Harley, reading, and collecting baseball cards. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mari; son, Jacob; daughter-in-law, Martha; grandson, Chance; and sister-in-law Pam.
Scotty was a big teddy bear, and he will be greatly missed.
