Melvin Leroy Boor died at his home in Wittman, Arizona, Nov. 18, 2022, at the age of 71.
He was born March 13, 1951, to Elijah and Marjorie Boor of McCune, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Marvin Boor.
He is survived by his sister, Judith Risley (Wiley) of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother Harlan Boor (Darlene) of Wittman, Arizona; sister Cathy Warring (Don) of Paola, Kansas; and sister Mari Tonn (Mark Kuhn) of Richmond, Virginia.
He graduated from school in McCune. He did various kinds of construction work and was a handyman in California. He especially liked driving a potable water truck to forest fires. He was the first potable water truck to arrive after Hurricane Katrina. He was mechanically inclined from a young age and was able to fix most anything. He served in the Air Force stationed in Guam during the Vietnam war.
There will be a family memorial service at Monmouth Cemetery at a later date.
