PITTSBURG, Kan. — The man who died in a house fire on Thursday has been identified as 70-year-old David L. Jackson.
On the morning of Jan. 9, a fire occurred at 125 W. 21st Street. Jackson was found in the residence by firefighters and given CPR and other care, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A woman, who was out of the house before the Pittsburg Fire Department’s arrival, was taken to Mercy Pittsburg for injuries. The woman’s name is still being withheld at this time, a police officer confirmed she lived at the address.
The fire is still under investigation by the Pittsburg Fire Department and the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office.
