D. Louise Cross, 80, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, at her home in Carthage, Missouri, surrounded by her family. Louise was born in Carthage on Jan. 5, 1945, to Marion and Madeline Myers. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage and worked at Safeway Cheese and then as a medical transcriber for various doctors’ offices. She was a member of the Fullerton Methodist Church in Farlington, Kansas. She loved to paint, quilt, and crochet in her free time.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Stafford of the home; and one-half brother, Bill VosBurgh.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Stafford; her parents Marion and Madeline Myers; two brothers, Aurther Myers and Harold Myers; and one sister, Virginia Sloniker.
At this time, Louise will be cremated per her wishes, and her family will have private services at a later time.
