PITTSBURG, Kan. — Bev Clarkson, Director of the Pittsburg Public Library, received a huge surprise in her inbox last week; a $10,000 gift.
The Carnegie Corporation of New York, founded by Andrew Carnagie, will bestow $10,000 to all Carnegie libraries across America that still operate to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, according to a news release.
