Frontenac softball improved to 9-0 on the season with a 10-0 win in six innings Tuesday night at home against Uniontown.
The Raiders scored two runs in the first, three in the second and third, and two more in the sixth.
Avery Johnson’s RBI single plated Alana Sullivan and Maddie Call scored on a Tenley Sullivan fielder’s choice in the first. Alana Sullivan reached on a bunt single and worked her way to third on a stolen base and throwing error.
Johnson delivered a three-run double in the second. Ella Sullivan reached on a dropped third strike and Mady Logiudici and Alana Sullivan loaded the bases with bunt singles.
Tenley Sullivan tripled home Gracen McLaren to start the three-run third. Sullivan scored on a Skylar Hutchison single and Hutchison scored on a Logiudici bunt single.
Uniontown retired the Raiders in order in both the fourth and fifth.
Logiudici, Alana Sullivan and Johnson started the sixth with consecutive bunt singles, loading the bases with no outs. Call worked a walk to score Logiudici and McLaren’s walk-off single brought home Sullivan.
The Eagles managed just two hits against Johnson, singles in the third and sixth.
Frontenac returned to action Thursday on the road against Prairie View.
