Dicksie Abbey Baugus

Dicksie Abbey Baugus, 84, of St. Paul, died at 6:22 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022.

She was born July 31, 1938, in San Diego, California, to James C. and Dicksie D. (Frank) Duffy. She was raised in the San Diego area and attended school there.

On July 7, 1955, she and Aubrey E. Abbey were married at Glen Abbey in Chula Vista, California. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1995. Later, on April 22, 2006, she married Billie Baugus. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2018.

Dicksie lived in various places, including Seattle, Washington; Anchorage, Alaska; Istanbul, Turkey; New Jersey; Phoenix, Arizona; Clinton, Iowa; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Montgomery, Alabama; Shreveport, Louisiana; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and St. Paul, Kansas, where she had resided since 2018.

Her religious affiliation was the Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, gardening, and canning.

Survivors are a son, John R. Abbey of Tulsa; two daughters, Ardith M. Calhoun of Phoenix, Arizona, and Linda D. Green (Mark) of St. Paul; a step-daughter, Cynthia Roylance (Brent) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. A brother, James Duffy, preceded her in death.

The Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m., Monday, at the Latter Day Saints Church in Parsons with Pastor Norm Densley. Memorials are suggested to the LDS Church in Parsons. They may be left at or sent to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P. O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
