PITTSBURG, Kan. — Although The Chop Shop’s new location has a newer, modern look, Owner Jakob Folk hasn’t strayed from his base business principle: inclusivity.
Since he first opened his barbershop in 2020, Folk has cut and styled hair for people of all different walks of life.
“I've cut people’s hair that just got out of jail,” he said. “I've cut attorneys’ hair. I cut quite a bit of law enforcement hair. Everyone from little kids to older men to older women's hair. And that's what I wanted. I wanted something that everybody felt comfortable coming to and not just one group of people.”
