Carol Ann VanBecelaere

Carol Ann VanBecelaere was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She passed away suddenly on June 8, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born June 24, 1935 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Wilton and Viola Pipkin.

She was joined in marriage to George A. VanBecelaere on Feb. 15, 1958 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church in Pittsburg who survives her at their home in Tulsa.

Survivors include three sons; Karl VanBecelaere and wife Linda of Auburn Indiana, G. Kevin VanBecelaere and wife Deanna of Tulsa and Eric VanBecelaere of Topeka Kansas., Carol and George’s seven grandchildren Adam VanBecelaere and wife Jessica of Rogers Arkansas, Kristopher VanBecelaere of Tulsa, Alexandra (Lexie) and husband Blake of Savanah Georgia, Lindsay Anthony and husband Brent of McKinney Texas, Kirsten (Kirstie) VanBecelaere of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Brandon VanBecelaere of Topeka, Kansas and Alex VanBecelaere of Topeka, Kansas. Carol is also survived by five great grandchildren Elliot (Eli) and Audrey (Adam and Jessica), Madeleine (Maddie) and Harlan (Lexie and Blake) and Parker (Lindsay and Brent).

In addition to her parents she now rejoins an older sister Betty Pipkin and her close aunt Vera Pipkin who proceeded her in passing. She is survived by her brother Francis Pipkin and wife Sharon of Pittsburg, Kansas and her sister Marilyn Bradley and husband Floyd of Topeka Kansas.

Carol’s passion was the love of her life and best friend for 64 years her husband George and the legacy of love she had for the family the two of them born, raised and saw grow together. She loved working with her flowers and plants and could always be counted on to find the best bargain when on a shopping spree especially when she found items that benefited her favorite charity The Ronald McDonald House at St. Francis Hospital Tulsa.  Her spirit and love will with be with us in our hearts and memories forever.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg at 10 a.m. Thursday June 16 beginning with Holy Rosary followed by a Mass concluding with graveside services at St. Mary’s Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements were coordinated with Fitzgerald Funeral Service, Tulsa and Brenner Funeral Home, Pittsburg, Kansas.
