Alan Lee Waugh

Alan Lee Waugh, 67, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 28, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born March 14, 1957, in Columbus, Kansas, the son of Donald and Evelyn M. (Bower) Waugh. He attended West Mineral Elementary and graduated from Southeast High School in 1974. Alan had been a resident of Wichita for the last 30 years.

Mr. Waugh worked as an installer for the Shawn Sign Company in Wichita.

Alan loved to play his guitar. He also collected arrowheads and different rocks, and then would use them to make unique pictures.

Survivors include a son, Eric Waugh, and his wife, Jo of Pittsburg; his father, Donald Waugh of rural McCune, KS; two brothers, David Waugh and his wife, Brenda of rural Pittsburg, KS and Larry Waugh of McCune, KS; a sister, Debra Rider, and her husband, Steve of McCune, KS; a granddaughter, Samantha Waugh; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday (June 5) at the Brenner Mortuary. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday (June 5) at the Brenner Mortuary, with Rev. Randy Dority officiating. Burial will follow in the Sherman City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to the Rett Syndrome Foundation. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
