The Crawford County Democrats held a fundraiser selling homemade pies at their Pittsburg headquarters on Thursday, March 14, known as Pi Day because the date (3/14) is similar to the mathematical expression 3.14, which is used to find the area and circumference of a circle (the shape of a pie). The funds raised are going into the headquarter’s general fund to cover the cost of maintenance, rent, utilities, etc.
