Webb City man sentenced for two Kansas police chases

COLUMBUS, Kan. — Larry Dustin Flowers, 39, of Webb City, Missouri, was recently sentenced in Cherokee County District Court to more than four years in prison for two cases involving fleeing from law enforcement, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday. 

Flowers received a 16-month sentence after pleading guilty to fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement in April of this year and another 40-month sentence after pleading guilty to fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement and possessing methamphetamine in August, following a chase that started in Cherokee County and ended in Crawford County. The 16-month sentence and 40-month sentence are set to be served consecutively. 

Flowers was prosecuted by the Cherokee County Attorney's Office and is being held in the Cherokee County Jail pending transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
