Tinna Marie Bendt passed away in her home in Wichita Kansas, June 19th, 2022.
Tinna was born Dec. 3, 1960. She is the 4th child of Dixie (Rion) and William H Bendt, Jr. She had been recently ill. Tinna left behind her brother, William H Bendt, III, his wife Nancy, brother Kenneth Bendt, sister Patricia Forehand, her husband Steve and Nishua Bendt, her husband David Phillips, her sister Paula Smith and multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to remember her. Tinna was raised in Pittsburg, Kansas and received her bachelor’s degree at Pittsburg State University. She received her masters in Wichita, Kansas and was very busy in counseling, social services, and recovery counseling in her profession. Tinna was very active in the recovery programs in Pittsburg, Wichita, and Topeka, Kansas. Her life will be celebrated in Wichita Saturday July 9 at 2 p.m. at College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st St N. All are welcome to attend. There will be a graveside service on Sunday July 10th at 2 p.m. at Lone Elm Cemetery, NE Lawton Rd, Columbus Kansas.
