Richard Lee Dixon

Richard Lee Dixon, 79, of Frontenac, Kansas died at 10:44 p.m. Friday, Apr. 8, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Dixon was born Jan. 9, 1943 at Ft. Scott, Kansas the son of Richard M. and Velma Arlene Totman Dixon. He was a businessman who was owner and founder of Track Renovation which he established in 1989. He was active until his death. He had been a resident of Crawford County most of his life. He was raised in Arcadia, Kansas and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1961. He later attended Ft. Scott Community College. He married Jo Murrow in 1963 and they later divorced after 40 years but stayed close throughout his life. He loved to play bridge and achieved a Master Bridge title and was a member of the American Bridge Association. Survivors include a son, Mike Dixon of Pittsburg, Kansas, a sister, Terry Bright of Arcadia, three brothers, Fred Dixon of Memphis, Tennessee, Jimmy Yates of Lamar, Missouri, and Danny Yates of Mulberry, Kansas, four grandchildren, Megan Hull, Ben Dixon, Audrey Priest, and Abby Dixon, and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Apr. 15, 2022 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with Pastor Randy Beeman officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday Apr. 15 at the Bedene Chapel prior to the funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E.
