Joe Buckle, 72, of Girard, Passed away at 12:50 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Girard Medical Center.
He was born November 7, 1950 in Girard, a son of Jerry W. and Eula Mary (Hendricks) Buckle Sr.
Joe attended school in Girard and graduated from the Girard High School.
Joe was employed as a lineman for the Heartland Electric Cooperative.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Buckle of Girard and Jamie Buckle of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one daughter, Jenni Frazier and her husband Justin of Frontenac, Kansas; one brother, Jerry W. Buckle Jr. and his wife Shirley of Girard; five grandchildren, Courtney Frazier, Brennon Frazier, Wyatt Frazier, Grant Frazier, and Divinika Buckle.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by an infant son, Joshua Buckle, one brother, John "Dick" Buckle, and two sisters, Sally Rogers and Mary Ann Frakes Jones.
Graveside service for Joe Buckle will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Girard Cemetery with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6th from 7 until 8, at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Shriners Hospital, and these may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W. St. John St. P.O. Box 258, Girard, Kansas 66743.
