Janice Colleen Dunlop

Janice Colleen Dunlop of Exeter, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022. She was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Lois and Dennis Lee.

Janice grew up in the small town of Beulah, Kansas, and she was a member of the 1963 Graduation Class at Southeast High School in Cherokee, Kansas. She attended Pittsburg State University and then worked for the Cunningham Insurance Company in Pittsburg.

On March 31, 1969, she married Carl E. Dunlop at the Methodist Church in Pleasanton, Kansas. Together, they had two sons, Todd A. Dunlop (Kerrie) of Carl Junction and Troy A. Dunlop of Exeter, Missouri.

In 1973, they moved to the Kansas City area and were business partners of Copaken, White, and Blitt. Janice loved crafts and was a gifted artist in both wood and ceramics. She made countless beautiful quilts. In 1983, they relocated to the edge of the Ozark Mountains near Exeter, Missouri. Together they owned a craft business, "Prairie Flower Crafts," and traveled the midwest organizing craft shows in malls and shopping centers.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents, Lois and Dennis Lee; and her brother-in-law, Larry Lamborn.

Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Trenton and Ty Dunlop of Carl Junction, and Kayla Dunlop and great-granddaughter, Ravin Chavis of Wheaton, Missouri; her siblings, Barbara Crismas (Richard) of Springfield, Missouri, Buford Lee of Beulah, Kansas, Gerald Lee (Diana) of Gardner, Kansas, and Glen Lee (Rose) of Hutchinson, Kansas; along with six nieces and six nephews; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Lamborn of Pittsburg.

According to Janice's wishes, she has been cremated, with burial at a later date.
