Multiple fire districts responded to a fire in Mulberry Wednesday, March 26 at the intersection of 1st and Kansas Streets. Arma, Frontenac, and Arcadia Fire districts responded a call shortly after 3 p.m. Arma Chief Mike McLeod said he believes the the residents were having a controlled burn in a barrel that ended up spreading to the garage and two other structures. Fire fighters were able to stop the fire before it reached the house. Wind conditions also flames to spread to the neighbor’s backyard. The incident is still under investigation.
